Some songs begin with a melody.<\/p>\n
Others begin with a question.<\/p>\n
Something More began with a thought.<\/p>\n
Not a dramatic thought. Not a life-changing revelation. Just a small idea that slowly grew into a song.<\/p>\n
While writing it, I started imagining the music as a conversation.<\/p>\n
The piano would become the thought itself.<\/p>\n
The voice would follow that thought as it unfolded.<\/p>\n
The violin would respond, adding meaning where words were no longer enough.<\/p>\n
The drums would do very little. Their role was simply to mark the passage of time while the conversation continued.<\/p>\n
What surprised me was that the song gradually became about something else.<\/p>\n
Recognition.<\/p>\n
Those rare moments when another person sees something in us that we have not fully seen ourselves.<\/p>\n
Not because they give us answers.<\/p>\n
Not because they tell us who we are.<\/p>\n
But because they notice something that was already there.<\/p>\n
Sometimes a conversation changes us.<\/p>\n
Sometimes a song changes us.<\/p>\n
And sometimes a simple exchange leaves behind a different way of seeing ourselves and the world around us.<\/p>\n
Something More is about that moment.<\/p>\n
The moment when someone hears more than the words.<\/p>\n
And somehow, that changes everything.<\/p>\n
